Ungdommens Folkemøde NORD is a democracy festival, where Nordic youth through workshops, creative expressions, and dialogue share experiences and inspiration across the region. For two days, we will together with decision makers, organizations, and activists, take on some of the democratic challenges of the Nordic region.

By sharing dreams, experiences and ideas with decision makers, organizations and activists across national borders, we want to make way for the perspectives and creativity of Nordic youth – creating the strongest democratic generation in the history of the Nordics.

To make sure that Ungdommens Folkemøde NORD is a Nordic democracy festival, we have established a steering group consisting of 5 representatives from different Nordic countries. The steering group will help us include and recruit the right people and secure that we have a broad view on what “the North” is.

Ungdommens Folkemøde NORD is a pilot project with the ambition of becoming a recurring event taking place in different nordic countries each year.

This very first edition will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark in April 2023.
